1) Webinar: Mitigating Rick of Extravasation with Power Injection
February 22, 2017 – 1:00pm EST
Speaker: Lynn Hadawaym, M.Ed., RN, BC, CRNI(c)

The incidence of extravasation of contrast media has increased since the introduction of power injection. Published rates are low; however, the high number of computed tomography procedures puts many patients at risk. The potential outcomes for an individual patient can be devastating and long-lasting. Compartment syndrome and nerve damage are the most common complications. This presentation will review common deviations from the standard of care often seen in lawsuits, along with presenting assessment techniques and new promising technology to reduce these risks.
