CVAA members are invited to apply to be an Internal CVAA Member Reviewer for the forthcoming 2024 Canadian Vascular Access and Infusion Therapy Guidelines.

Project Information

CVAA is currently revising the Guidelines published in 2019 and we are planning for launch in 2024. The Guidelines will provide a summary of evidence, consensus-based practice recommendations, and implementation tools to support application of recommendations in Canadian practice. These Guidelines continue to be the major practice publication developed, produced, and disseminated by CVAA. We are seeking your valuable expertise to review our Guidelines and we are inviting you to apply for an Internal CVAA Member Review position. The process will take place in the summer of 2024.

What is Involved:

If selected, you will be asked to review the Guidelines to determine the overall tone, language, and clarity. You are not required to comment or suggest revisions for each specific recommendation, but instead offer an overview of the quality of the Guidelines or suggested improvements or corrections, if applicable. We will provide an online survey to complete regarding the Guidelines with space for general comments. If you choose to comment on a specific recommendation, please state which topic name and recommendation number for clarity. You will be acknowledged in the final publication as a Reviewer.

Time Commitment:

We anticipate the time to review and comment on the Guidelines may take up to 6-8 hours. We plan to send out the Guidelines for review near the end of July 2024 and will request review and survey completion within 4 weeks.
