ADVOCATING FOR NURSES!
Chronic hand eczema (CHE) is an inflammatory condition of the skin, affecting the hands and wrists. This survey investigated CHE prevalence, symptoms, impact, and treatment experiences among nurses in Canada. The results aim to guide future research, education, and management strategies of CHE among nurses.
CACCN and CANN sent a unified letter to Dr. Leigh Chapman, Chief Nursing Officer of Canada and Dr. Valerie Grdisa, Chief Executive Officer, Canadian Nurses Association advocating for chronic hand eczema be recognized as a significant occupational health issue and that Health Canada and the Canadian Nurses Association champion initiatives that prioritize prevention, protection, earlier intervention, and appropriate care for nurses across the country.
